SDMFC Transition Task Force Meeting @ South Metro Career Center

SDMFC Community Prevention and Safety Alliance meeting @ Farb Middle School

Please join us for our San Diego Military Family Collaborative, Community Prevention and Safety Alliance meeting, to address Youth Substance Abuse, with an emphasis on youth in military families.  Coffee and a snack will be provided.

The primary goal of the DFC Mentoring Program is that over the next year together, we will go through a community based participatory planning process to assist the SDMFC to becoming eligible to apply for long term DFC support to implement the community action plan we create.

Here are some DFC first year goals:

  • Strengthen Mentee coalition’s organizational structure.
  • Increase Mentee coalition’s leadership and community readiness to address youth substance use problems in the Mentee community.
  • Assist the Mentee coalition in working through a strategic planning process that will result in a comprehensive Action Plan.

North County Health & Wellness Work Team Meeting @ Veterans Association of North County (VANC)

The goal of the SDMFC North County Health and Wellness Work Team is to improve health and wellness outcomes of the North San Diego military community. This month they will be focusing on continuing their conversation about top issues, goals, and potential small projects.  They are looking forward to a presentation from Megan Wong, Director of Semper Sound with Resounding Joy.

The SDMFC North County Health & Wellness Work Team’s goal is to improve health and wellness outcomes of the North San Diego military community.

The group meets the 2nd Friday of each month from 10am – 12pm. The location rotates between North Coastal and North Inland. Click here for 2017 meeting schedule.

This work team is a collaboration between the County of San Diego HHSA, Live Well San Diego & the SDMFC.
