The weather has been a bit warm in San Diego, but nonetheless, good work is still being accomplished! During July, the Collaborative hosted the last MTSE day workshop for the year 2019, as well as another successful Monthly Convening focused on “LGBTQIA+.”

Monthly Convening: “LGBTQIA+”
On Friday, July 26, the SDMFC hosted its Monthly Convening at the Mission Valley Library and focused on the topic of “LGBTQIA+.” We were privileged to have this topic discussed in one of our convenings for the first time! We had such a powerful and supportive discussion on the stigma attached to this topic, how to be more understanding and considerate, and sharing the different resources out there for this community to utilize. Thank you to all the panelists who participated as well as our attendees. Check out the fact sheet of the convening by clicking HERE!
